Anchoring what's known as Florida's "First Coast," Greater Jacksonville features historic landmarks stretching along the coast from Amelia Island to the north, on south to St. Augustine. Greater Jacksonville also combines the relaxation of the nearby beaches and golf to enhance its financial center business environment. Amelia Island, off the northeast coast, features tranquil beaches, biking, and hiking. Historic Fernandina Beach boasts shopping, dining and Centre Street's Palace Saloon, Florida's oldest bar and the last watering hole in the Sunshine State to go dark on the eve of Prohibition.
